Health Wave Partners today announced the acquisition of American House Myrtle Beach at Grande Dunes, a recently built, Class-A senior living community within the Grande Dunes master-planned development in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The acquisition represents Health Wave’s continued focus on acquiring high-quality senior housing communities in markets supported by favorable demographics and attractive long-term growth prospects.
Built in 2021, the community offers assisted living and memory care options in a resort-style setting with an extensive amenity package designed to support an active and engaging lifestyle. Amenities include multiple dining venues, an outdoor pool, an art studio, a theater, a spa, a fitness and wellness center, and landscaped outdoor areas with a putting green.
“We are excited to add American House Myrtle Beach at Grande Dunes to the Health Wave portfolio,” said Elliot Pessis, Chief Operating Officer of Health Wave Partners. “Myrtle Beach’s strong population growth, in-migration, and favorable senior demographics make it a compelling senior housing market, particularly in the affluent Grande Dunes area. We believe the quality of the community, our attractive investment basis, and our partnership with American House, an experienced and highly regarded senior living operator, position the investment well for long-term success.”
American House assumed management of the community in April 2026 as part of a planned transition and in anticipation of a long-term partnership between American House and Health Wave Partners. The transaction formalizes that strategic relationship and ensure continuity for residents, families and team members with no changes to the community’s day-to-day operations.
“This transaction reflects a shared vision between American House and Health Wave Partners to invest in exceptional senior living communities and deliver outstanding experiences for residents,” said Dale Watchowski, Chief Executive Officer of REDICO and American House. “This community exemplifies the high-quality lifestyle, care, and hospitality experiences that define the American House brand. We look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and enhancing the exceptional living experience residents enjoy every day.”
