SagePoint Capital Partners today announced its formal launch as a relationship-led family office firm serving entrepreneurs, multigenerational families, professional athletes, entertainers, creators, and other high-profile clients with complex wealth needs.
With more than $2 billion in assets under advisement and planned expansion in Naples, Florida, and Dallas, Texas, SagePoint combines investment discipline, family office capabilities, and centralized infrastructure around one client relationship. The firm believes that as investment access becomes more widely available, trust, stewardship, and coordinated judgment become increasingly important.
“There comes a point when the question about wealth changes from ‘How much?’ to ‘What now?’” said Winston Justice, Founder and CEO of SagePoint Capital Partners. “What are you building toward? What does your family need from this wealth? What should exist in the world because you were here?”
Justice describes the philosophy as cathedral thinking: making decisions today knowing their consequences may be inherited by people not yet in the room. His perspective was also shaped by his earlier career as an NFL offensive tackle, where preparation, protection, and accountability became principles he carried into financial services.
Built for Complexity Beyond Investment Management
As wealth grows more complex, families can find themselves coordinating attorneys, accountants, bankers, investment managers, and other specialists on their own.
SagePoint is designed to serve as a central point of counsel. Each family works through a single relationship supported by professionals with experience across investment management, tax strategy, estate, due diligence, and private and public markets.
“A family shouldn’t have to become the project manager of its own wealth,” said Ranjeet Guptara, Managing Director at SagePoint. “Our responsibility is to understand what is at stake, then bring the right people, judgment, and resources around the table while keeping the relationship simple for the family.”
Institutional Rigor, Personal Delivery
SagePoint’s leadership brings experience across institutional asset management, family office strategy, private markets, professional sports, foundation leadership, and international business. Members of the team have managed sovereign wealth mandates and multibillion-dollar institutional portfolios.
The platform is organized around three principles: help clients protect what they have built, compound what matters, and amplify what their wealth can accomplish across families, communities, and generations.
That approach extends to philanthropy, legacy planning, and private markets. SagePoint is developing Philanthropic Alpha, focused on the role intentional generosity can play in family, tax, and legacy planning, as well as a dedicated private alternatives platform centered on selection, diligence, structure, and long-term understanding.
“Financial wealth is only part of the equation,” said Sam Yoon, Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at SagePoint. “The real question is what that wealth allows someone to do with their life and for the people who matter to them.”
A Platform Designed to Compound
SagePoint is taking a deliberate approach to growth, adding families, advisors, and capabilities based on whether they strengthen the firm and client experience.
The firm is expanding its capabilities for professional athletes, entertainers, and creators and is onboarding a Texas-based wealth management practice serving those clients, while growing its presence in Naples and Dallas.
“We built SagePoint for the long term,” Justice said. “If we do this correctly, growth doesn’t dilute what makes the firm valuable. It compounds it.”
